On the 12th of December 2012 KS1 went to The Carriageworks to see Jack and the Beanstalk. They were sitting in the theatre for 2 hours watching a whole lot of humour and having fun.The same thing happened to KS1 as to lower KS2 where there was a celebrity appearance, which was one of the most exciting bits of the afternoon.

The Oliver Trip
On Thursday 29th November year 3/4 went to see Oliver at the Grand. The Grand is very posh it has patterns all over the place.Theres a MASSIVE chandelier at the top of the building. The balconies were the best place to watch it.Apperently,Neil Morrisey(Bob the Builder)played a part and he was outstanding. The songs were really good .The boy who played Oliver had a good voice and a little boy who played a part as an orphan was cool as well.
The bus ride was nice although very noisy and long. The bus driver was having a whale of a time listening to Kylie ,Madonna and Beyonce!

To have your child like a reading maniac in book heaven is to give them a novel.(large book with over 80 words)
Building around the school
The building in nursery
There has been some workmen around Nursey as you know because there is a great giant skip in the corner of the school playground! They are putting in some astroturf(fake grass)at the rear end of the nursery playground.SO BE AWARE OF THE BUILDING!
The Rowans near the school
In addition to this, there is a lot of building next to the main school playground because they are building a new estate!!Many children are aware of it,and at playtime and lunch they are going down for a sneak peak as we have a got a very good view!
The workers are planning to make a fantastic total of 72 houses!
Mrs Dale noted that if the diggers are next to our playground then she said ,"Do not go on the bark wherever it is."

Year 4 swimming trip on Friday 23rd of Nov 2012
On year 4 swimming trip on the 23rd of November 2012,we all were entering the bus for the way back to school. When we were going to go on the route we normally go on,we found out that it was closed!Oh no!So we had to go a different way.Down the unusual route, there was two cars.I,Amelia, only saw one car that wasn`t far away. Then,I noticed that a car was less than a foot away from the bus!Luckily,we passed with no harm done, and on the way went. Not long after that dilemma,we went down a nother road and we faced a big great fence looking towards us!I was so freaked out!The bus driver, who was looking worried as well, managed reverse the WHOLE bus back.Due to all of that chaos,we were about 10 MINUTES LATE!The end.....

Amelia's Learning Top Tips for parents No.1
Keep your child educated and give them a hard word to practise and test them at the end of the week.Another joke of the week
A man is talking to his son.
The man: son, how long is a million years?
the son: To me, it’s about a minute.
The man: son, how much is a million dollars?
the son: To me it’s a penny.
The man: son, may I have a penny?
the son: Wait a minute.
Children in Need
Children in Need
Children in Need is a charity for disadvantaged children around the world. So on Friday the 16th of November,we had an action packed day full of excitment to raise a LOT of money for this ashtonishing charity.
Along we came in our PJs(and onsies)and did our lessons as usual. Everybody looked cool and chilled in their pyjamas and year 4s had to travel to swimming in their PJ's! Even the teachers dressed up and they looked awesome!!!! We didn`t look like a very serious school but we had a lot of fun anyway!
Fortunately,we raised over £300!! That's got us written all over it!
Jokes of the week
Two factory workers are talking.
Woman: I can make the boss give me the day off.
Man: And how would you do that?
Woman: “Just wait and see.” She then hangs upside-down from the ceiling.
Boss comes in: What are you doing?
Woman: I’m a light bulb.
Boss: You’ve been working so much that you’ve gone crazy. I think you need to take the day off.
The man starts to follow her and the boss says: Where are you going?
The man says: I’m going home, too. I can’t work in the dark.
